Learning Objectives:

Upon successful completion of the course, the student would be able to:

Course SLO
Describe the social processes that have created our current food system and their impact on individuals, their communities, and the environment.
Analyze the core debates within contemporary social justice issues and their related social movements (e.g., poverty and hunger, globalization and mass production, nutrition and health, food security, and environmental impacts).
Propose and evaluate solutions on both a public and individual level to improve the production and availability of food that is sustainable to both environment and communities.
