A critical examination of the theoretical foundations of
contemporary sociological theories. Beginning with Marx,
Weber, Durkheim, and Simmel, examines contemporary examples
of social theory, including post-structuralism, critical
theory, hermeneutics, and phenomenology. Pre: SOC 100 or
