This course is an overview of the study of health
communication. It is aimed to provide exposure to concepts
and principles in the field, focusing on advocacy and
individual awareness in current events. Topics will include
the dynamics shared between health care providers and
patients, the role of mass media, promotion of public health
campaigns and culturally diverse approaches to health care.
