Pre: Consent of instructor; and one course of upper division writing intensive (WI) course work.
Students are provided an internship with an appropriate community agency. As an intern, the student is delegated the responsibility of developing a solution to a well-defined problem or is asked to complete a relevant task. Students report on the experience using their understanding of the field in which they are working and its relationship to the field of Hawaiian-Pacific Studies. Note: Students participating in practicum must sign UH West Oahu's Assumption of Risk and Release form. This form must be completed prior to beginning this off-campus activity.
