In this course, we will study the geography of the Pacific Islands or Oceania, a geographic realm that encompasses the regions of Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia. Within this geographic realm, Hawai`i is an integral part being strategically located at the crossroads of cultural, social, economic and political exchanges between the East and West and its Pacific Island neighbors.
