POLS 444 - Law, Property, and Nature - University of Hawaii at Hilo
Examines the relationship between nature, property, space, and legal regulation. Topics will include jurisdiction, the Takings Clause of the Fifth Amendment, land use management and policy (including zoning and conservation), property ownership, environmental justice, and the evolving relationship between culture, law, and the environment. Pre: junior or senior standing. This course is dual listed with CBES 644.
