Introduction to the theory and methods of environmental
impact assessment (EIA). Emphasis on the physical
environmental, cultural, social and legal foundations of the
federal and state EIA process as well as how to minimize
negative impacts on economic development. Students
engage in critical evaluation and preparation of EIS.
Pre: junior or senior standing or consent of instructor.
