Relationship between human communication and conflict. The
relationship among personal history, culture, gender, power,
communication, and conflict is considered. Students gain
experience in assessing and intervening in conflict
situations in both professional and personal contexts.
Western, Eastern, and Hawaiian approaches to conflict
management are included. Pre: COM 251 or
instructor's consent.
