The Hybrid / Online Blend - ONLINE SESSIONS section (see CRNs 68596 & 68597) is recommended for the following students: (1) Students living on O'ahu who will attend lectures and complete service learning project online; (2) Neighbor island students who will attend lectures online and complete service learning projects at an approved site on their own island or online; and, (3) Students living out-of-state who will attend lectures and complete service learning project online.

Service-learning (SL) and community engagement link classroom curriculum to ‘āina-based and culturally appropriate education with hands-on experiential learning opportunities. SL connects real world problem-based learning with a focus on career pathways in order to match the needs of community partners and leads to student success. The SL course designation offers students high quality service learning experiences in their courses with a minimum of 15 hours of service in community, and 5 hours of reflection and/or writing connecting the service with the course curriculum.

This class is offered in an accelerated format from 1/10 to 2/11/22. The following refund and withdrawal dates apply:
January 11, 2022 Last day to receive 100% tuition refund
January 18, 2022 Last day to receive 50% tuition refund
