Samoan (SAM)

Students with prior Samoan language study or heritage language ability are required to schedule an individual assessment interview. The 101 courses are intended for students with no prior experience in the language. Students placed in 102 or a higher level may complete the language requirement faster and earn up to 16 back-credits which can be counted toward graduation (Restrictions apply. See the Manoa Back Credit Policy). SAM 101-202 students are required to sign up for a one-hour Tuesday session, with your instructor, on the first day of class. You may choose from one of the following Tuesday class periods to be held in Moore 258: 9:00-9:50, 10:00-10:50, 11:00-11:50 or 12:00-12:50.

SAM 101, 321, 421 and 461 are also offered through Outreach College. Please see Samoan in the Fall 2016 Extension term.
