This CULN 310 class section is conducted online. This class is fully ASYNCHRONOUS: students are never required to meet with each other and/or the instructor at a specific time. However, the class includes one or more OPTIONAL synchronous online activities. Optional Zoom meetings may be scheduled with the instructor on an as-needed basis either individually or in a group setting. This class does not include proctored exams. This class does not require field work. This course is built around a strong emphasis on reading, and review of academic and professional written materials. All students in this course will be expected to commit to at least five hours a week of conducting primary research. This research will include reviewing materials from online sources, such as the Lama Library, as well as materials produced by professional organizations, such as the National Restaurant Association.
